Trinity College greetings cards – pack of 10

Trinity College greetings cards

Designed by Trinity student, Charley Maidment

Capturing the essence of what Trinity stands for, this greetings card, created by Trinity ordinand Charley Maidment, was the winner in a competition to design a card that reflected something of life at Trinity. Charley explains the inspiration for the design:

“The entrance to the chapel with bright, fiery colours is to symbolise the worship and sending out of the people of Trinity and the Holy Spirit into the world to do God’s work according to the Great Commission:

Matthew 18:18-20: ‘Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’

“Whilst in hospital recently I took great delight in poring over the intricate details of every line and curvature of the chapel building – the u-shaped curves in the roof, the worn stones and the cracks that had formed in the building. I enjoyed reflecting on its previous use as a swimming pool and subconsciously praying as I drew for the work of the chapel. The history and the beauty of the building reminded me of the many saints that have prayed and worshipped there, and will continue to do so. I was reminded of this from the hymn, ‘O church arise’:

As saints of old still line the way,

Retelling triumphs of His grace,

We hear their calls and hunger for the day

When, with Christ, we stand in glory.”

This is a pack of 10 x A5 cards with plain white envelopes.
