Trinity embraces intercultural worship

At the request of our students for more teaching on intercultural worship, we invited intercultural worship specialists, Songs2Serve, to our School of Leadership.

At a lively and uplifting workshop, involving plenty of singing and dancing, they explained the theology of intercultural worship and its importance in spreading the love of God, even in monocultural settings.

They shared practical ways to incorporate worship in different languages and from different cultures into our worship, and at the following day’s Holy Communion service led the band in a series of songs from different countries and traditions.

Since then we have had a Bible reading in Swahili during Morning Prayer, and are starting to incorporate more forms of intercultural worship into our services.
