Helen Johnson to become a permanent member of faculty

We are pleased to be able to share the news that Helen Johnson, who has been with us this year on secondment as an interim Formation Tutor, will be becoming a permanent member of the team as Pastoral and Formation Tutor (part-time).

Not only are we pleased that she will be joining us permanently, but it means we will have a staff member with particular responsibility for pastoral support for students including within the on-site Carter community.

I’m so excited to be joining the team at Trinity on a permanent basis, expanding my role as a formation tutor to include all things pastoral. I am so pleased to continue the relationship with my current tutor group, and to come alongside a new group of dispersed learners, in a similar way, in September. I am particularly looking forward to working with folk who live onsite, to ensure their experience of communal living is the best it can be, and to be, more generally, a representative for women across the college. A focus on spiritual direction and counselling as well as an ongoing interest in Christian spirituality will certainly mean that my days will be full and varied. I can’t wait to get stuck in!

Helen will be leaving her current role as Priest-in-Charge at St Mary’s Shirehampton in late July and will take up her new full-time role in September.
