The Very Revd Dr David Hoyle, BA, MA, PhD

The Very Revd Dr David Hoyle is the Dean and head of the Bristol Cathedral Foundation, he chairs the Cathedral Chapter, and with the Chapter directs the mission and ministry of the cathedral.

He exercises leadership in the cathedral’s worship, preaching and prayer. He represents the cathedral in the diocese and is a crucial important point of contact between the city and the diocese. He is the senior priest in the diocese and shares in the Bishop’s oversight of the diocese. He is a member of the Bishop’s Staff and Diocesan Synod.
